Is it just me or is pork severely UNDERRATED?

Like, I am always over here thinking about grilling up coffee rubbed steak or making some baked honey cajun salmon or DEFINITELY always doing anything with chicken (hello my favorite everything bagel chicken!)

But, pork? I pretty much always forget about it until I dive deep into my deep freezer and find it hanging out at the bottom.

Then it turns into dinner and I wonder where pork has been my whole life.

At the bottom of the freezer, that’s where. 😒

But, for real, these SUPER simple and ultra juicy and flavorful pork chops are gonna be a HIT at your dinner table.

WHAT ARE THE BEST PORK CHOPS FOR THE AIR FRYER?

When selecting a cut of meat to make air fryer pork chop recipes, you’ll want to go for the thickest you can find! I recommend buying a center cut, bone-in chop, and the thicker the better! I love some tasty boneless pork chops in air fryer, but today I’m going to show you how to cook some bone-in chops! The reason for this is that with the length of cooking time in the air fryer, a thicker cut of meat will result in a good amount of tasty char on the outside of the chop while a thinner, smaller cut of meat will cook faster and won’t have the char!

INGREDIENTS NEEDED

Whipping up some air fryer pork chops for dinner is seriously such a cinch! Say hello to a super flavorful, seemingly classy dish that, in reality, uses simple ingredients you already have hanging around your pantry! Who said that fancy food has to be difficult to make? Here’s what you’ll need to make it:

  • Bone-in Center Cut Pork chops
  • Olive Oil
  • Seasoning Salt
  • Paprika 
  • Ground Mustard
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Coconut Sugar or Brown Sugar

HOW TO COOK AIR FRYER PORK CHOPS

Cooking up some pork chops in your air fryer is so simple and the result? Juicy, tender chops that are bursting with flavor that the whole family will LOVE! Here is how to make them:

Prepare

Cut any excess fat off of the pork chops and rub them generously with oil. 

Rub

In a small bowl, add all of the seasonings and mix them together. Rub them evenly all over the pork chops.

Cook

Cook your pork chops in the air fryer evenly on each side until they are done! 

Enjoy

Serve up your pork chops with your favorite sides and DEVOUR!

HOW LONG FOR COOKING PORK CHOPS IN AIR FRYER

This will depend on the size and thickness of your pork chops. Mine were about ½ inch thick in most areas with some thicker parts being ¾ inch thick. I cooked my chops for 5 minutes on one side, then flipped them and continued cooking for 5-6 minutes on the other side.

PORK INTERNAL TEMPERATURE

When cooking pork, it’s important that it is cooked well, but it also doesn’t have to be overcooked for it to be safe to eat! I recommend cooking your pork chops until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. A touch of pink on the inside is totally okay!

These AMAZINGLY delicious pork chops are going to be the star of your dinner plate, without a doubt! There are so many delicious recipes that would compliment the pork chops and give you and your crew the full meal deal. Potatoes are a comforting, filling and delicious side dish that I recommend pairing with these chops. Whether you choose to make red skin mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts, or go for a low carb option like healthy garlic mashed cauliflower potatoes, they will be DELISH. Finish the plate off with some tasty cooked veggies- I suggest sauteed broccolini or low carb keto green bean casserole.

MORE HEALTHY PORK RECIPES

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/4 lbs Bone-in Center cut pork chops (about 4 chops cut 1/2 inch thick)
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 3/4 tsp Seasoning salt
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground mustard
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Coconut sugar or brown sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cut any large chunks of fat off the pork chops. Rub them with the olive oil.
  • Mix all the seasonings in a bowl and rub into the pork.
  • Cook at 370 degrees in your air fryer for 5 mins. Flip and cook another 5-6 mins. This might vary based off the thickness of your chops. Mine were 1/2 inch (3/4 inch in some thicker areas.) It should be 145 degrees F on the inside when done.
  • DEVOUR!
